On the day

The King and his council of chiefs open the festival by walking the grounds and visiting each community under its tent. After that the field belongs to the music, cultural dance and displays, and masquerade performances in the ancient Uvwie tradition.

Where

Urhobo College Field, Effurun, Delta State, Nigeria. Every community of the kingdom sets up its tent on the field.

Getting here

Warri Airport at Osubi (QRW) is the nearest airport and serves Effurun and Warri. Visitors from abroad usually connect through Lagos or Abuja. Effurun sits beside Warri, so any local driver will know Urhobo College.
